Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Voommart, we strive to ensure every "Voom" delivery meets your expectations. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Because we offer multiple types of services, different refund rules apply to each category.

2. Category-Specific Policies

2.1 Fresh Groceries & Restaurant Meals

  • Perishables: Due to the nature of fresh food, we only accept returns if the items are damaged, spoiled, or incorrect at the time of delivery.

  • Action Required: Customers must inspect these items upon arrival and report any issues to the delivery rider immediately or contact support within 1 hour of delivery.

  • Resolution: We will offer an immediate replacement or a full refund to your Voommart Wallet.

2.2 Pharmacy & Health Supplies

  • Safety First: For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on prescription medications or opened wellness products once they have been delivered.

  • Exceptions: Refunds are only granted if the wrong medication was delivered or if the packaging arrived damaged.

2.3 Car Rental

  • Cancellations: * Full refund if cancelled 48 hours before the booking start time.

    • 50% refund if cancelled 24 hours before.

    • No refund for "No-Shows" or cancellations made less than 12 hours before.

  • Early Returns: No refunds are provided for vehicles returned earlier than the scheduled contract end date.

2.4 E-commerce (Electronics, Fashion, Home)

  • 7-Day Window: Non-perishable goods can be returned within 7 days of delivery.

  • Condition: Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and with all tags attached.

  • Non-Returnable: Innerwear, swimwear, and customized/personalized items.

2.5 Parcel Delivery

  • Delivery Failure: If a parcel is lost or damaged due to our logistics error, a refund of the delivery fee plus the declared value of the item (up to TZS 100,000) will be processed.

3. Refund Process

  1. Request: Initiate a refund request via the Voommart App or email support@voommart.co.tz.

  2. Verification: Our team will review the request (and photos of the defect, if applicable) within 24 hours.

  3. Payout: Once approved, refunds are sent to:

    • Voommart Wallet: Instant.

    • Mobile Money (M-Pesa/Tigo Pesa): 1–2 business days.

    • Bank/Card: 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

4. Delivery Fees

Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a Voommart error (e.g., wrong item sent).
